June Ahrens

Born in New York City, June Ahrens focuses on sculpture and installation in her work. She graduated from SUNY Purchase in Purchase, New York. Ahrens's work is dedicated to exploring concepts of fragility, vulnerability, danger, and healing. She employs a variety of easily accessible resources, such as powdered chalk, repurposed glass, filters, mirrors, and cement board, to evoke diverse thoughts and emotions in those who experience her art.
